These masterclasses are based off of the yoga poses that give you the most angst. Working with students, listening to your questions and finding solutions so you can enjoy your practice and take it into your own hands. No longer should you have to guess your way through a yoga practice. We're answering questions and finding solutions!

Practicing poses over and over and hoping they feel better at some point isn't the solution. Learn what you can do to make the poses work for you!

What to Expect:

We'll investigate the 3 most common poses that students have questions about and how these concerns translate to other poses:

Sunday, January 31st at Noon CST - Warrior 1

Tuesday, February 2nd at Noon CST - Half Moon

Thursday, February 4th at Noon CST - Revolved Poses (Crescent, Triangle)

Deconstruct poses and understand them from the inside out. Additionally, we'll talk:

Pose Aligment & Mechanics - how your bony structures may be restricting your movements.

Modifications - ways to tweak common alignment 'rules' to make these poses accessible for you.

Practicing w/ Injuries - what should you know about practicing with an injured body.

Customizing your practice to fit your body - how to weave your customized pose to fit your practice.

How you participate: Join the live Zoom meetings and get YOUR questions answered! Learn how these poses can also give you insight to problems & questions you may have with other poses. Of course, these live masterclasses will be recorded and emailed to you just incase you cant make the scheduled time. Share this with your frends and family so they get answers too!

Hey I'm Monica! Let me tell you how I got here...

I've spent the last 28 years practicing various forms of yoga. Initially coming to the practice to settle the stress from the rigors of graduate school, then realizing the benefits of yoga are what I needed in my life - longterm.

However as I continued taking classes and trying different styles like Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Vinyasa, I realized I wasnt fully understanding what was being asked of me from my teachers. I wanted a deeper dive into the physical pracrice so I could really decipher the how's and why's of yoga's physical practice.

When I began leading Teacher Trainings, Posture Clinincs and Anatomy workshops I was asked an abundance of questions regarding pose mechanics, cues, and modifications. Years of studying anatomy, physiology and biomechanics helped me understand how the human body is affected by movement and how injuries affect our yoga practice. The idea that poses look different from person to person isn't widely shared in the yogaworld and my utmost goal is to help you understand your body and tweak poses so they're appropriate for you, therefore yoga becomes a practice you can enjoy to the fullest.
